The City Council called the special election after petitions forced the issue to voters. Supporters highlight projected long-term public benefits, including hundreds of millions in PILOT payments and funding for a community development center.
• From Lap To Literacy: JC Library Launches 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program (thegraphic.org) — Families in Clarksville can now enroll their little ones in the Johnson County Library's new 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at 2 Taylor Circle, helping kids build strong reading habits before school. Parents track each 100-book milestone with prizes and a fun "Wall of Fame," and can also sign up for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to receive free books that count toward the goal.
