Williams calls the tribute surreal, especially sharing the moment with former teachers and family, as he prepares for another season with a title-contending Thunder team.
   

• Fort Smith high school students advocate state law to allow free menstrual products in school bathrooms (5newsonline.com) — Southside High School students in Fort Smith are organizing to change Arkansas law so free menstrual products must be available directly in school bathrooms, not just at nurses' offices. Their group, Fort Smith Students for Progress, is gathering supplies locally and working with Rep. Jay Richardson and other lawmakers to prepare a proposal for the January legislative session.
   

• Walmart Suspect Learns His Fate After Indecent Act Reported (arkansasradio.com) — A Fort Smith man has been sentenced to one year in jail after pleading guilty to indecent exposure in multiple aisles of the Walmart on Kelley Highway. Prosecutors say indecent exposure cases are becoming more common in Fort Smith, and the court also imposed fines in connection with this incident.
