Fort Smith Regional Chamber Of Commerce: FESTIVAL OF TREES
See the latest announcement from the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce.
November 10, 2021
The Optimist Club of Fort Smith is back with our FESTIVAL OF TREES fundraiser. As was the case in so many things last year, we were unable to hold our Christmas fundraisers due to Covid-19.
Â
To refresh your memory, THE FESTIVAL OF TREES is our newest fundraiser. The concept is unique to this region. We are asking businesses, churches, schools and other community organizations to donate an artificial Christmas tree and decorations. The decorations can be traditional or very unique to your company or industry. You and your employees will decorate the tree. If you wish to participate, but do not have the time to make the purchases and decorate the tree, for a $500 donation, we will do all the work for you and give you complete credit.
Â
Then, the trees will be displayed for the public to view and vote on the best design and decorations. Each vote, or ticket, will also give them a chance to win that tree!
Â
Funds are raised through the sale of tickets (votes) that viewers can place in the collection posts beside each tree. Signage will be placed on the post with your company name and/or logo for all to see, as well as in the programs to be handed out and posters displayed around Fort Smith. New this year will be the opportunity to view the trees on our website (www.fortsmithoptimist.com) and purchase votes as well.
Â
THE FESTIVAL OF TREES will be an excellent opportunity to promote your business to thousands of people in the Fort Smith area. The purchase of the tree and decorations will be a small investment in comparison to the benefit, not only to your business, but also to the youth in our community. Decorating the tree will also be a superb team building activity and morale boost for your employees involved.
Â
We will continue with our other fundraiser, the Christmas Tree Lot (LIVE trees) at Hunt’s Park each December. Funds raised through both events will benefit the Fort Smith Boys & Girls Clubs, as well as the Fort Smith Children’s Shelter, Girl’s Shelter of Fort Smith, Fort Smith Boy’s Shelter and the Optimist Essay and Oratorical Scholarship Contest.
Â
We would truly appreciate your consideration in supporting the Optimist Club of Fort Smith with this event to benefit the Fort Smith area youth and to continue to change the lives of young people through your involvement.
