Pediatricians Ibrahim, Nadvi Join Mercy Fort Smith Â
FORT SMITH, Ark. (Aug. 25, 2021) – Mercy Fort Smith will welcome two new pediatricians to Mercy Clinic Pediatrics – Tower West on Sept. 7.Â
Manar S. A. Ibrahim, M.D., and Samina Z. Nadvi, M.D., are currently scheduling for both new and established patients at 6801 Rogers Ave., Fort Smith, third floor.Â
Both doctors said as they join Mercy, they are eager to continue the care they have provided to the Fort Smith area at their previous practices.Â
Dr. Nadvi has worked in private practice in Fort Smith and served as an emergency room and primary care physician in Booneville while also running a pediatric clinic. She serves as an adjunct faculty member with the Arkansas Colleges of Medicine in Fort Smith, teaching students during their pediatric clinical rotations. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.Â
“I was drawn to pediatrics because of my desire to care for children,” she said. “I strive to provide an open and nonjudgmental space where both parent and physician are equal partners in making the best decisions for their child's health. I hope to contribute to Mercy's commitment to health care by being an advocate for the health and well-being of all children in the community.”Â
Â
Dr. Ibrahim has practiced in Fort Smith since 1995. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a volunteer faculty member with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Family Practice Residency Program. She has served as an adjunct faculty member with ARCOM and the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee.Â
Â
Dr. Ibrahim said she looks forward to continuing to serve children in the Fort Smith community and providing the best care possible.Â
“Pediatricians have the ability to make a huge difference in children’s future,” she said. “I’ve always enjoyed being around children; making them feel better is our goal. Â
“Not many specialties offer physicians an opportunity to form an 18-year relationship with patients,” she continued. “Because children cannot speak up for themselves, they rely on adults to advocate for them, and as a pediatrician, I will work side-by-side with parents.”Â
