1. Police name victim, arrest suspect in fatal shooting in southwest Little Rock (arkansasonline.com) — Little Rock police have arrested a 21-year-old city resident in connection with a fatal Tuesday afternoon shooting on J.E. Davis Drive in southwest Little Rock. Officers found a 23-year-old Little Rock man fatally wounded at the scene, and the suspect is now being held in the Pulaski County jail without bond on a capital murder charge.
   

2. Woman dies from injuries suffered in 2-vehicle crash in Little Rock (nwaonline.com) — A 26-year-old woman, Allison Burke, has died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash on Little Rock's Lawson Road Tuesday evening. Police say another driver crossed the center line on a curve, causing the collision. The investigation continues, with both vehicles impounded and toxicology tests pending, while no charges have yet been filed.
   

3. Wolfe Street Foundation receives 2026 Recovery Community Organization Award (fox16.com) — Little Rock's Wolfe Street Foundation has been honored with the 2026 Recovery Community Organization Award for its growing work supporting people and families affected by substance use disorder. From its Little Rock base, the nonprofit now fields a larger peer support staff, recovery housing, and more than 60 recovery meetings across seven Arkansas counties, offering weekday walk-in access to services and resources.
   

4. Arkansas Chiefs of Police Association voices support for responsible use of Flock cameras (kark.com) — Arkansas' Association of Police Chiefs, speaking from North Little Rock, is backing the "responsible use" of Flock automated license plate reader cameras as a tool to solve crimes and find missing people. The group stresses that any use in Little Rock or elsewhere must include strict policies, constitutional safeguards, data protections, and clear accountability for how information is collected and accessed.
   

5. Nominations open for 2026 Arkansas Food Hall of Fame; time to toast your faves (katv.com) — Little Rock food fans are being urged to nominate their favorite long-running Arkansas restaurants and food events for the 2026 Arkansas Food Hall of Fame before the Sept. 30 deadline. Several past honorees hail from Little Rock, and organizers say local diners' nominations are crucial to spotlighting the city's enduring eateries and culinary traditions.
