Go For Gold to headline Little Rock show at Rev Room in October (kark.com) — Little Rock music fans can catch hometown pop‑punk band Go For Gold headlining an all‑ages show at The Rev Room on October 23, with doors at 7 p.m. and tickets starting at $15. The night also features several Arkansas bands, and comes as the downtown venue continues booking shows after reversing earlier closure plans.
2. Arkansas State Fair launches 'Fair Friday Frenzy' (4029tv.com) — Little Rock residents can sample Arkansas State Fair fun early at free 'Fair Friday Frenzy' pop‑up events downtown on September 11, 18, and 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Expect free fair food like bacon funnel cake fries plus admission tickets and ride bands while supplies last, ahead of the fair's October 16–25 run.
3. St. Joseph Center community garden moving to Dunbar plots after Burns Park project halted (arkansasonline.com) — Community gardening space is returning to Dunbar Garden in Little Rock, where St. Joseph Center will build 24 raised beds at 1800 S. Chester St. this fall. Funded by grants and created with help from the city and Little Rock School District, the plots should be ready by spring 2027 for residents to grow their own food downtown.
4. Outages leave almost 3,200 Little Rock customers without power (arkansasonline.com) — Thousands of Riverdale and Hillcrest residents in Little Rock lost power Sunday evening, with Entergy estimating full restoration around 10 p.m. The outage, which began after 4 p.m. and at one point affected about 3,200 customers, was still under investigation late Sunday night.
5. Things to Do in Arkansas This Week: Sept. 7-10 (kark.com subscription) — Little Rock families have several standout options this week, including Bluey's Big Play at Robinson Center on Thursday and a Whiskey Myers concert at First Security Amphitheater.
