• Miracle League of Arkansas celebrates 20th season in Little Rock (kark.com) — Families and volunteers in Little Rock just kicked off the Miracle League of Arkansas' 20th baseball season at Miracle League Little Rock Field, celebrating inclusive play for children and adults with disabilities. With more than 3,000 athletes served over two decades, organizers are inviting new volunteers to sign up online as the anniversary season gets underway.
   

• Little Rock Zoo announces births of two female marmosets (arkansasonline.com) — Little Rock families have two new reasons to visit the zoo, as the Little Rock Zoo recently welcomed a pair of female white-fronted marmoset sisters born in August. The tiny monkeys are settling in with first-time parents Ember and Rio in the Primate/Reptile Building, where visitors are encouraged to move quietly to improve their chances of spotting them.
   

• Fall 2026 enrollment up at Arkansas State University, down at University of Central Arkansas (arkansasonline.com) — College-bound Little Rock residents may notice the University of Arkansas at Little Rock growing, with undergraduate enrollment up 3.5% and more than 8,200 students calling the campus home this fall. Across Arkansas, A-State set another overall enrollment record, while UCA, UA Fort Smith and some Southern Arkansas University graduate programs reported modest declines or shifts as schools adjust to changing student demand.
