Arkansas Sen. John Boozman Slated For Another Surgery
Boozman had emergency surgery in April 2014 after complaining of chest and arm pain before a highway dedication at Gravette.

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Arkansas' senior senator had emergency heart surgery three years ago and is schedueld to undergo a follow-up surgery next week.
Sen. John Boozman posted Thursday on Twitter a photograph of a handwritten note that says 30 percent of patients who have had surgery for a torn aorta need additional surgery. He will be in Washington when Congress returns from a recess next month, he said.
The 66-year-old told members of the Arkansas Association of Counties that doctors have urged him to have surgery for a year and a half. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette of Little Rock first reported on the surgery.
