Buckethead Alternative Rock Buckethead is a virtuoso guitarist and multi-instrumentalist who performs within many genres of music. He has released over 700 studio recordings, way more than anyone else in the history of music. 650+ of those are in his Pike series. He has also performed on over 50 more albums by other artists. His music spans such diverse areas as progressive metal, funk, blues, jazz, bluegrass, and avant-garde.
When performing in his theatrical persona, Buckethead used to wear a KFC bucket on his head, emblazoned with an orange bumper sticker that reads "FUNERAL" in capital black block letters, and an expressionless plain white costume mask. More recently, he has switched to a plain white bucket no longer bearing the KFC logo. He also incorporates nun chucks, robot dancing, and toy trading into his stage performances. Buckethead's persona represents a character that was "raised by chickens" and has made it his "mission in life to alert the world to the ongoing chicken holocaust in fast-food joints around the globe."
An instrumentalist, Buckethead is best known for his electric guitar playing. He has been voted by GuitarOne magazine as one of the "Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time”. Guitar World credits Buckethead for "ushering in [a] new era of virtuosity".
Buckethead has most recently performed solo and with a 3-piece band. Between The Buried And Me Progressive Metal Progressive metal visionaries Between the Buried and Me return with their most immersive and eclectic record yet—The Blue Nowhere, their first on InsideOutMusic.
Mixing uncharted musical detours with their distinctive aggressive identity, the band create a conceptual world unlike anything in their incredible catalog, inviting the listener to experience the journey on their own terms. Though the story takes place in a hotel—The Blue Nowhere—don’t expect haunted corridors or shadowy figures behind every door.
“It’s more of a feeling—those moments when you feel alone in the world and use that solitude to reflect on the human experience,” Rogers clarifies. “It exists in a space where no one can find you, hidden from all forms of reality—that’s The Blue Nowhere.”
Trying something new is not unusual for the group, who once again find ways to expand their musical palette while maintaining the band’s core sound. No more surprising is the album opener, “Things We Tell Ourselves in the Dark,” which sets the tone with INXS and Duran Duran-inspired textures, even incorporating 90125-era Yes, filtered through BTBAM’s signature chaos. Meanwhile, “Absent Thereafter” is a quintessential BTBAM track—layered, intense, and unrelentingly dynamic, this 10+ minute opus delivers everything a BTBAM fan could want and more.
Between the Buried and Me remain allergic to stagnation, and The Blue Nowhere proves their creative drive is stronger than ever. “It feels like a natural evolution for the band,” says Rogers. “We’re not repeating ourselves. We’re lucky to have a fanbase that’s along for the ride.
 Imperial Triumphant Metal There’s a murmuring amidst the monoliths of New York City as the sounds of the megalopolis churn below. The city becomes the sound of a human engine that throbs like an atrophying heartbeat; the decaying city of the future in Fritz Lang’s Metropolis. That’s the grandiosity that New Yorkers, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT have found equal amounts of beauty and horror within. With their latest release, Goldstar, the masked triumvirate continues their exploration of the urban and arcane. The band has found inspiration in the sound of metal pushed to its darkest extremes, gilded, art deco temples, and looming cityscapes.
“The theme of every IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT record is New York City. That’s the fuel,” states guitarist and vocalizer, Zachary Ezrin, who has been the voice behind the band’s sonic expressionism since its founding in the shadow of the millennium. With bassist Steve Blanco and drummer Kenny Grohowski, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT has expanded the language of musical extremity with records including Vile Luxury (2020), Alphaville (2021) and Spirit of Ecstasy (2023).
While IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT has established itself as a portent of sonic improvisation and experimentation, Goldstar reins in their musical wanderlust with a newfound focus that the band has only hinted at with past works. Tracks like the album’s explosive opener, “Eye of Mars” or the stirring “Hotel Sphinx” clock in around the five-minute mark while upping the trio’s songwriting acumen and musical virtuosity. “It’s a challenge we posed to ourselves,” says Ezrin, who credits the sonic shift, in part, to two years of relentless worldwide touring, playing countless festivals including France’s Hellfest, the Czech Republic’s Brutal Assault or tours with the likes of Behemoth, Carcass and Zeal &amp; Ardor.

Between the Buried and Me: The Blue Nowhere U.S. Tour - Spring 2026

Juvenile Urban Simply put, hip-hop might not be the same without Juvenile.
Over nearly three decades, the multi platinum record-breaking New Orleans icon served up a string of classic albums, influenced two generations of stars, and pioneered a sound rooted in Louisiana bounce, yet carried by worldwide rap appeal and ambition. Like all timeless stories though, his stretches back to humble beginnings in the neighborhood his music put on the map: the Magnolia Projects. As if predisposed by destiny to pick up a microphone, he heard Melle Mel’s verse on “The Message” by Grandmaster Flash &amp; The Furious Five, commenced spitting, and never stopped since…
“That’s really when it all started,” he recalls. “I heard Melle Mel saying, ‘Don’t push me, ‘cuz I’m close to the edge’, and that was it. I was only seven-years-old, but I knew I had to rap.”
He made local waves by appearing on DJ Jimi’s “It’s Jimi” in 1991 before bringing a national spotlight to the burgeoning bounce music style on his breakthrough “Bounce for the Juvenile.” After building a fan base on his 1995 debut Being Myself, the production of Mannie Fresh caught his ear, and nothing would be the same. At the time, the in-house Cash Money Records producer cooked up “Drag ‘Em ‘N’ tha River” for UNLV—a group Juvenile brought to the label.
In response, Juvenile recorded “Set It Off” and knew he “had to get with Mannie Fresh.”
“At the beginning, I truly came to Cash Money, because of Mannie Fresh,” he recalls. “I knew his beats were bigger than most artists. There was something there.”
There definitely was…
After his Cash Money Records debut Solja Rags, he crafted an era-defining opus in the form of 400 Degreez. Not only did it go quadruple-platinum, but it also became “the best-selling album in Cash Money Records History.” It produced staples such as the title track, “Ha” (which JAY-Z notably remixed), and “Back That Azz Up.” The latter would be sampled by everyone from Drake to City Girls. The Ringer lauded 400 Degreez among the “20 Best Southern Rap Albums Ever” behind only UGK’s Ridin’ Dirty and OutKast’s Aquemini. Pitchfork bestowed a rare 9.4-out-of-10 rating upon the record, and Kendrick Lamar cited it as one of his “Favorite Albums” in Complex and went so far as to claim, “They had the West Coast on smash. We definitely tried to be like them.” The heat spread far and wide across the United States.
“I remember I had a show with Funkmaster Flex in the Tunnel in New York city around the time 400 Degreez came out,” he recalls. “Everybody told me, ‘Don’t sing no other song, but ‘Ha’. If you sing anything else, they might jump on you and beat y’all up!’ I sang ‘Ha’ for forty minutes straight. It was the hardest place for any artist from the South to break into, but I did. It really broke the mold.”
Around the same time, Juvenile comprised The Hot Boys alongside Lil Wayne, B.G., and Turk. Together, they smashed charts with the Get It How U Live! [1997] and the platinum Guerilla Warfare [1999]. His next solo offering, Tha G-Code, went double-platinum followed by the platinum Project English. Meanwhile, 2003’s Juve The Great emerged as another unsung platinum classic as “Slow Motion” [feat. Soulja Slim] topped the Billboard Hot 100 at #1 for two weeks. He maintained a prolific pace in the ensuing years and collaborated with everyone from Future to Yo Gotti before reuniting with Cash Money Records.

The chemistry thrives on their 2019 first full-length collaborative album, J.A.G.It boldly extended Juvenile’s own legacy with unanimous praise from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and Billboard as the singles “Just Another Gangsta” and “Dreams” [feat. NLE Choppa] tallied over 20 million total streams and views. Moreover, it preceded the stage for another collaborative effort and an O.G. Cash Money Records reunion on “Ride Dat” [feat. Lil Wayne].

Shakey Graves Americana Across his career, Shakey Graves—a.k.a. the performance moniker of Austin, Texas-born Alejandro Rose-Garcia—has intentionally created thrilling musical adventures tailored to each fan: burning CDs and putting them in personalized decorated bags; building intricate scavenger hunts that send fans in search of unique tapes; and Bandcamp-exclusive releases.
"The fans and musicians that really resonate with me—and the inexplicable ways that I find things that I like—are usually entirely through randomness and chaos and accident," Rose-Garcia says. "I've always been on this quest to make people feel like my own music is a choose your own adventure."
In 2024 Rose-Garcia celebrated the ten year anniversary of his And The War Came album with a special 10 Year Anniversary Edition release featuring never before heard demos and b-sides from the recording process and inviting fans to enter the long-since abandoned Music House.
His story continues to unfold, but Shakey Graves Is Still A Gentleman From Texas.
