Parks & Rec Serving Free Meals During The Summer

Little Rock Parks & Recreation, as part of the BE MIGHTY program, will serve free breakfast & lunch to children under 18.

From the City of Little Rock: Little Rock Parks & Recreation, as part of the BE MIGHTY program, will have six locations serving free breakfast and lunch to children under the age of 18.

In partnership with the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, Central Arkansas Library System, Rock Region Metro and the Little Rock School District, the meals will begin on Monday, June 3 and continue until July 31. Southwest Community Center will serve meals between June 10 and July 19 at six sites:

  • Dunbar Community Center - 1001 West 16th Street
  • East Little Rock Community Center – 2500 East 6th Street
  • Southwest Community Center – 6401 Baseline Road
  • Stephens Community Center – 3720 West 18th Street
  • War Memorial Splash Pad – 5511 West Markham Street
  • West Central Community Center – 4521 John Barrow Road

Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday through Friday at each of the sites, with the exception of the War Memorial Splash Pad. At this location, lunch only will be served on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. at Dunbar Community Center, East Little Rock Community Center and Stephens Community Center. The hours for breakfast at West Central Community Center and Southwest Community Center will be 8-9 a.m.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at each site, with the exception of Dunbar Community Center, which will serve from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

No meals will be served on Thursday, July 4.
