MAMMOTH LAKES, CA — One couple's picturesque Eastern Sierra wedding came with a surprise guest they probably didn't include on the seating chart: chart-topping singer Shaboozey.
The country singer floated past the wedding on the Owens River while the couple posed near the water, according to an Instagram post from Southern California wedding planner K. Rose Events.
"Not a styled shoot. Not a setup. This actually happened," the company wrote.
The wedding planner said the unexpected cameo happened during the ceremony, with the couple exchanging vows against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada.
"The bride's face says it all. The groom couldn't stop laughing. Even I lost it for a second," K. Rose Events wrote.
Video of the encounter shows a shirtless Shaboozey floating down the river on a tube with a group of other people. The group cheered as the couple kissed for photos.
Shaboozey later joined in on the celebration in the comments, writing, "CONGRATULATIONS! From Shabozzey and @thewoollyrun !!"
The Woolly Run is a five-day trip in the nearby Alabama Hills and Owens River where participants can ride dirt bikes, float on the river, go horseback riding and more, according to its website.
Shaboozey rose to prominence with his 2024 hit "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," which spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, tying the chart's then-record for the longest-running No. 1 song. He also made history as the first Black male artist to simultaneously top the Hot 100 and Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.
Shaboozey earned five Grammy nominations in 2025, including best new artist and song of the year, and won his first Grammy in 2026 for "Amen," his collaboration with Jelly Roll. He also appeared on two songs on Beyoncé's Grammy-winning "Cowboy Carter" album.
