SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A Northern California pizza specialist has earned a spot on a nationwide list recognizing some of the country's top pizzerias.
Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco was selected for California on Food & Wine's list of the best award-winning pizza shops in each state.
The publication considered pizzerias recognized through a variety of sources, including major pizza competitions, reader polls, industry rankings and local news outlets.
According to Food & Wine, Tony's Pizza Napoletana is ranked No. 5 in the world by 50 Top Pizza and holds the No. 1 spot on Yelp's list of the Top 10 Best Pizza Near San Francisco.

His San Francisco restaurant features seven ovens and offers 12 styles of pizza, including Neapolitan, New York, Sicilian and gluten-free varieties, according to Food & Wine.
