CA Woman Uses Sprinkler To Deter Thieves: Video

CALIFORNIA — The doorbell cameras that are ever-present across California are capturing some bizarre interactions — including, apparently, those between sprinklers and would-be thieves.

A Porterville resident recently shared a video showing a man on a bicycle pull up to her home, only to get sprayed by the motion-activated sprinkler she'd set up to deter burglars, KTVU reported.

"We have been having issues with people coming into our neighborhood to try and steal tools out of vehicles," the woman, Katie Camarena, wrote on Facebook, where she shared the video captured by her Ring camera.

"So we decided to have a little fun with a motion activated sprinkler that has an impressive amount of pressure."

Video shows the man quickly pedaling away after getting sprayed.
