California Voters Urged To Register, Update Info Before June 2 Primary
Eligible voters can register online, check status and track ballots through state election websites.
California Secretary of State Shirley Weber on Tuesday urged eligible voters across the state to register, update their registration and make a plan to vote in the June 2 Primary Election. The reminder applies to Californians who need to register for the first time or update information such as an address before casting a ballot.
“Like we always do, California removes barriers so every eligible voter can be heard,” said Secretary Weber. “Take five minutes today to register or update your address—then make a plan to vote.”
According to the Secretary of State, California county elections officials mail every active registered voter a ballot.

The state shared several ways for voters to return a completed ballot. Voters can drop it off at a drop-off location or in any official county drop box within the state, return it in person to any polling place or to the voter’s county elections official, or mail it to the voter’s county elections official.
Voters also have the option of casting a ballot in person at their polling location or at a vote center, according to the announcement. Eligible Californians can register to vote or update their voter registration online here.
