Merryhill Preschools in California Donate 400 Books to Local Children

Students from six schools donated books to a local school for children in need

Students from six Merryhill Preschools in California – including Davis, Elk Grove, Rocklin, Roseville and Sacramento – recently partnered to donate more than 400 books to benefit The Mustard Seed School, a local emergency school that provides a variety of services to children of families seeking permanent housing. Students from the six schools worked together to hold donation drives and collect the books for local children in need.

Merryhill Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
