PLACER COUNTY, CA — After a 16-year-old went missing over the weekend in eastern Placer County, police are seeking the public’s help as they investigate what they believe may be an abduction, according to reports.

Kiely Rodni has been missing since about 12:30 a.m. Saturday after she attended a party of more than 100 young people near the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

“We just want her home, we’re so scared and we miss her so much and we love her so much,” Rodni’s mother, Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, said in a video Sunday on Facebook. “Kiely, we love you, and if you see this, please just come home. I want nothing more than to hug you.”

Rodni is white; 5 feet, 7 inches tall; weighs 115 pounds; and has blonde hair and hazel eyes, police said. She was last seen wearing green Dickies brand pants and a black tank top, and she had numerous piercings and jewelry, including a nose ring.

Rodni’s cellphone has been out of service since the party took place more than two days ago and her vehicle — a silver 2013 Honda CRV with the California license plate 8YUR127 — is also missing, according to police. Because the SUV has not been found, the disappearance is being investigated as an abduction, a Placer County Sheriff’s Office official confirmed to NBC News.
