'My Mum Has Always Been A Fighter': Mother's Day Photo

BLYTHE, CA — With Mother's Day around the corner, one Patch reader in Blythe, Riverside County, shared this photo of herself along with her mother.

"This is my amazing mum Nini," she said about the photograph, which was taken about three weeks before Nini found out she had cancer.

"My mum has always been a fighter & even through all her medical problems has been there for me 100%," she wrote. "She home schools me & has done so for the past 3 years. She has taught me how to cook amazing food her Oma taught her. This Mother's Day is very important to me because my mum is still here with me!"
