New Members-Only Hotel Opens For $4K A night In CA: Report

Members of Guesthouse can enjoy a luxury vacation experience in this beloved ski town.

TRUCKEE, CA — In an appeal to the Golden State's wealthiest travelers, a members-only lodging house is opening later this month near Truckee.

Guesthouse Lake Tahoe, a 4,000-square-foot luxury lodge will cost between $4,000 and $5,000 per night, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

But that isn't all guests will have to pay to stay. After the first year of membership, a monthly $417 membership fee is required.

The new all inclusive mini-resort will quickly become one of the most expensive and exclusive places in town.

A stay at Guesthouse includes, unlimited access to dozens of ski areas, a private chef, a driver-tour-guide and an onsite concierge, the newspaper reported.

“There are no big, premium hotels in downtown Truckee, so there’s a lot of pent-up demand for something like this,” said Guesthouse founder Trevor Cornwell, an entrepreneur from Palo Alto told the Chronicle. “It’s more expensive than an Airbnb but less expensive than having a group at the Ritz-Carlton.”

"A dedicated onsite team—private chef, house captain, and local guide—allows you to host and be hosted, ensuring every stay feels both personal and inspired."
