Missing Diver Found Dead After Search Near Catalina Island
42-year-old Justin Hoang was found by divers in approximately 60-foot-deep water.

CATALINA, CA – A body has been recovered after the search for a missing diver near Catalina Island, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Special Enforcement Bureau.
In a tweet, the bureau revealed that the victim, a 42-year-old male named Justin Hoang from Huntington Beach, was found by divers in approximately 60-foot-deep waters.
The dive vessel Cee Ray initially reported a missing diver at 2:10 a.m. Monday, the U.S. Coast Guard said in a statement, according to FOX11.

Officials sent multiple helicopter and boat crews to assist with the search.
In a Twitter post shared Monday afternoon, the United States Coast Guard Southern California said that before his disappearance, Hoang was last seen wearing a black wet suit and dive gear.

Hoang's death is currently under investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Coast Guard at 310-521-3801.
