EL HALAL AMIGOS: Thursday could be the day to check out the SF Bay Area's new Halal-Mexican eatery, helmed by Filipino and Palestian Chef Hisham Abdelfattah, who began his business with a Fremont-based food truck. Among menu options: the Narcho Burrito, with protein choice, pinto or black beans, Spanish rice, pico de gallo, queso, nar sauce, crema & either fries or chips rolled up in massive flour tortilla. EL POLLO LOCO: The Los Angeles-born chain is offering daily burrito deals through April 7. On April 5, new and existing Loco Rewards members can receive a burrito and large drink for $6. And on the big day — April 7 — Loco Rewards members can score a BOGO (buy one, get one free) burrito reward and free delivery with no minimum purchase.
