Man Hurls Rocks Through CA Capitol Building: Report

Officials were investigating after rocks were reportedly thrown through several windows at the California Capitol building.

SACRAMENTO, CA — Several windows were shattered at the California Capitol on Saturday after a man hurled rocks at the building, according to media reports.

A man identified as Eric Spies approached the north side of the building around 12:45 p.m., California Highway Patrol Protection Police said, according to KCRA.

Spies was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County jail on felony vandalism charges, KCRA reported.

Legislators were not working inside the building as the Capitol undergoes construction, the station reported.
