A Carb-Lover's Paradise

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Agoura Hills Patchpicks a great restaurant either in a town or nearby that is worth checking out.

Here's this week's choice: 

Overview: There are times when I am craving garlic bread, pasta and pizza. Sometimes it just happens. Luckily, in Agoura we have a great selection of and one of my favorites it Ameci's Pizza. This is a great go-to place when you are looking for a fun dinner for a group, family-friendly night out or even a comfortable date night at home, as you can place an order to-go or have delivery. They offer lots of specialities besides pizza, so there is always something for everyone.

Starters: You can't go wrong with any of the appetizer options from Ameci's. Stick to classics like Mozzarella Sticks served with a side of marinara; Fried Zucchini, which are breaded, seasoned and fried; or the Garlic Cheese Breadsticks. Looking for something new? Try the Potato Cheese Munchers with melted cheese. If you like wings, they have two options: buffalo or barbecue.

Salads: If you are trying to stick to something light or just want something fresh, Ameci's has plenty of salads from which to choose. A classic Caesar Salad with seasoned crutons or a simple Dinner Salad are always on-hand. I love the Antipasto Salad filled with your favorite meats like salami, ham and mortadella. This salad is also stacked with peppers, pepperoncinis, black olives, cheese and more. The Tuna Salad and Chef Salad with chicken breast are also popular options. All salads are available with a choice of ceamy Italian, ranch, blue cheese, Caesar, thousand island or Italian vinaigrette.

Pasta: I love pasta and what better way to enjoy than by creating your own? You can pick your choice of pasta and sauce to make the perfect carb dinner. Ameci's also has more than 10 different options of everyone's favorite dishes like Baked Lasagna and Linguini with Clams. I personally love the Meat Ravioli (you can also get cheese) and the Baked Rigatoni. Some other customers favorites are the Eggplant Parmigiana with Spaghetti, Fettucine Alfredo and Baked Manicotti. If you want some extra meatballs or sausage, you can grab a side.

Subs: How about a sub for dinner or try grabbing one on your next lunch break. With almost 20 different varieties, there is something for everyone. My personal favorites are the Philly Steak with onions, the Chicken Parmigiana with mozzarella cheese and the Meatball. The Chicken Pesto is also delicious. You won't go wrong by trying the Italian Roast Beef with fresh green peppers and onions, the Chicken Pannitti topped with a creamy Italian dressing or the Italian Cold Cut with all your favorite meats. Don't worry vegetarians, they have a sub just for you with fresh veggies.

Pizza: When it comes to pizza, there are five different sizes, ranging from the Mini with four slices to the Il Gigatni with 16 slices. Of course you can make your own pizza with your favorite meats and veggies from which to choose or enjoy a specialty Ameci creation. The BBQ Chicken and Margherita are always classic go-tos. I love the Ranch Chicken with mushrooms, red onion and mozzarella. The White Knight with ricotta cheese, tomato, garlic and oregano is a customer-pleaser. Of course you can never go wrong with the Meat-lovers or Garlic Chicken Alfredo.
