A Sidewalk To Be Proud Of

Last Monday morning the members of the LVUSD board of education, The Agoura Hills City Council and many prominent members of our community,gathered together to dedicate a sidewalk. A sidewalk? Yes. But not just any sidewalk. A sidewalk on the east side of Reyes Adobe leading to Yerba Buena Elementary School. For many years there was nothing standing between pedestrians going to the school on that side of the street, and vehicles passing by. It was a safety issue. It was thrilling to see this sidewalk dedicated with a joint effort between the LVUSD and the city of Agoura Hills. As a city councilmember,I was proud to be part of the planning and budgeting,  that brought safety to those parents and children that walk to YB. As all of us walked that sidewalk to the school, I could not help but think about all of the families that will now benefit from safer walk to school, thanks to the city and the school district working together and it made me feel great!

Next on the city's project list is our beautiful new recreation center with a teen center, senior center, and space for many family oriented activities. Very exciting stuff going on in the city. Stay tuned. Harry
