After careful consideration and reviewing available information from Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the City of Agoura Hills has elected to indefinitely close the City Hall doors to the public. This will be effective, Monday, March 16th. In addition, all upcoming City events scheduled are being canceled or rescheduled, following the advice of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in regards to non-essential public gatherings. This decision is being made as effort to stop the spread of the virus and protect our local community. This is in addition to the closure of the Recreation and Event Center that closed its doors, Friday, March 13, 2020.

While we understand that some services are vital of our community, the concerns of COVID-19 transmission, especially with our senior population, other vulnerable community members and those who work with the public, we are required to take a proactive approach. This action is being done in a manner which is supported by a continuity of governmental operations plan that will be implemented immediately. Essential municipal services will continue to operate, including but not limited to, Law Enforcement, Fire Protection services, Animal Control services and Building and Safety (Life & Safety functions). While not all City services can be conducted, our staff will be working and will make efforts to complete tasks via electronic communication wherever possible.
