AGOURA HILLS, CA — Agoura Hills residents can now sign up for winter programming, which will include many camps and activities cancelled last year because of the pandemic.

The city recently released its winter recreation brochure and opened up registration for all municipal activities including popular programming for kids and seniors.

This year, the city will be able to bring back many programs lost to the pandemic, like indoor programming and camps, said Amy Brink, director of community services for Agoura Hills.

The city is also working to build up children's programming, which is always popular.

Children's soccer and basketball are popular programs for the city, Brink said. This winter, the city is offering soccer on the weekends for kids ages one to seven at Chumash Park and basketball for kids age one to nine. Parents can even play alongside their kids with the city's "Baby Ballers" program for kids ages two to three and a half.

The brochure also includes recreational and practical events for teenagers, like guitar lessons and babysitting training.

City personnel are excited to bring back the "Volunteers Inspire Progress" Teen Volunteer Program over the summer, Brink said. Through the program, selected applicants will get experience working with the city on special events, recreational classes and camps and more.

Adults ages 18 and over can take yoga, Zumba, art and cooking classes, and the city has popular senior programming like yoga, museum tours, music classes, social events and more.

Browse through the catalogue online and register for city activities on the recreation website.
