Agoura Man Killed in Skateboarding Accident

Christopher Schwartz, 29, who was not wearing a helmet, lost control of his "dirt surfer" and struck a parked car, according to authorities.

A 29-year-old Agoura Hills man was killed early Tuesday morning when he lost control of his in-line "dirt surfer" skateboard and struck a parked car on a steep residential street in Agoura Hills, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

The crash happened at 12:05 a.m. in the 6000 block of Lake Lindero
Drive, said Lt. Robert Wiard of the Los Angeles County sheriff's

The skateboarder, identified as Christopher Schwartz, suffered head and
neck injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, Wiard said.
