• Trapped by Highway 101, Mountain Lions Will Finally Get a Way Across (a-z-animals.com) — A massive new wildlife crossing over Highway 101 in Agoura Hills is nearing completion and scheduled to open on December 2, 2026, reconnecting habitats split by the freeway. The project will give mountain lions and other local wildlife safer passage, reduce collisions, and improve genetic diversity across the Santa Monica Mountains, while also boosting safety for drivers using this busy corridor.
