Agoura Road Utility Work To Begin In November

Motorists and cyclists should expect lane reductions, traffic shifts and possible delays during four to six weeks of work.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — Underground utility work for the Pure Water Project will temporarily affect traffic on eastbound Agoura Road between Oak Crest Drive and Reyes Adobe Road beginning the week of Nov. 9, the city announced Wednesday.

Crews will follow the utility work with roadway restriping to prepare for upcoming construction. Work is expected to take place on weekdays over four to six weeks.

The Pure Water Project Las Virgenes-Triunfo is part of a regional water reuse and recycling program aimed at creating a local, drought-resilient drinking water supply for western Los Angeles County and eastern Ventura County.

Officials said motorists and cyclists should expect lane reductions, traffic shifts and possible delays. Access to nearby businesses and homes will be maintained as much as possible.

The work will support the Advanced Water Purification Facility at 30800 Agoura Road, which is intended to help provide a reliable, locally sourced water supply for the region, according to the city.
