Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

An armed robber, who held up an unsuspecting victim through Craig's List, was arrested.

An armed robbery suspect who held up a victim in Agoura Hills was arrested by detectives from the after their investigation led them to a courthouse in Ventura, according to a police report. Ventura County resident Craig Voss, 23, was booked on one count of armed robbery.

According to the report, the victim responded to a listing of a computer for sale on Craig’s List on Tuesday, July 26. The victim agreed to drive to a shopping center parking lot in the 28000 block of Roadside Dr. in Agoura Hills to meet the seller to complete the transaction in cash, said the report.

Upon arriving at the parking lot, the victim parked and waited while seated in his car. A short time later, the victim was approached by a lone male, identified as the suspect, who reportedly pointed a handgun at the victim’s head and told him to give him his money. Fearing for his life, the victim surrendered the cash he brought for the purchase. The suspect fled on foot, the report said.

Local detectives worked quickly with Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives and the victim to identify Voss as the person involved in the crime, the report said. Voss was reportedly out on bail on several unrelated crimes committed in Ventura County and was scheduled for a court appearance in Ventura.

Voss is currently being held on $125,000 bail.
