Art Night in Agoura Hills with Tom Gamache

In addition to local recognition, Gamache's photography has captured landscapes and special moments all over the southwest.

The opening reception for “Things Seen are Mightier than Things Heard” (from a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson), featuring renown outdoor photographer Tom Gamche, opened March 16 in Agoura HIlls with Gamache present to discuss his work with the crowd. The gallery show is a retrospective of Gamache’s 45-year photography career and includes large format landscapes taken around the southwest, architecture, pop music, cultural and political images.

A highlight of the show is Gamache’s seldom-seen imperial-sized images of Santa Monica Mountain settings that were published into a book, “Range on the Edge / The Santa Monica Mountains”, with text by Matt Jaffe, who was also present at the opening.

The show, presented by the Agoura Hills Cultural Arts Council, runs March 16 - 28, 2018 at the Agoura Hills Recreation and Event Center, 29900 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills, CA 91301. For more information, visit www.91301.org or call 818-597-7361.
