Armed Suspect Surrenders After 4-Hour Standoff
The suspect was reportedly armed with a gun and chasing another man prior to holing up inside an Agoura Hills home.

A man believed armed surrendered to sheriff’s deputies Wednesday night after a four-hour standoff at an Agoura Hills home.
Sheriff’s deputies received the call about a man armed with a gun chasing another man at around 3 p.m., Sgt. James Braden said.

Authorities were called to the home in the 28700 block of Roadside Drive on a report of a man with a gun in the house, said sheriff’s Sgt. Vincent Plair.
“There were some evacuations in the neighborhood,” Plair said.

Sheriff’s crisis negotiators came to the scene and talked the man into surrendering at about 7 p.m., he said. The Special Weapons Team had surrounded the house.
There were no injuries, Plair said.
