Home on Fairgrange Drive Reportedly Robbed

Jewelry, computer equipment stolen during daytime break-in on Tuesday, sheriff's station reports.

A home in the 5400 block of Fairgrange Drive in Agoura Hills was broken into and robbed of $40,000 worth of jewelry and computer equipment, according to a report by the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station.

The residents were not home at the time of the break-in, which took place sometime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and no one was hurt, the report said.

A back window reportedly was broken and a door unlatched to gain access to the home.

A witness reported seeing two males standing across the street from the home just before the break-in, the report said. The males were described as 18 to 20 years old, Hispanic, ranging in height from 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and weighing 150 to 160 pounds, the report said. One was wearing a yellow backpack and the other, a black backpack, the report said.

A worker in the area said he saw two males approach the residence on foot, but then lost sight of them, the report said.

"One of the biggest aids to law enforcement is when neighbors call in suspicious activity," Colitti said.

Colitti also recommended uploading Apple's Mobile Me in case of stolen iPads, iPods or iPhones. Once registration is completed, Mobile Me allows the user to track the device. For more information, click here.
