City Announces What's New at 2017 Reyes Adobe Days Festival
At a recent Agoura Hills Council meeting, a special presentation announced what's new for the upcoming 2017 Reyes Adobe Days Festival.

The Agoura Hills Department of Community Services gave city council members and the public who attended the September 27 meeting a sneak preview of 2017 Reyes Adobe Days Festival taking place in Agoura Hills October 12 - 15, 2017 at the Reyes Adobe Historical Site. Recreation Supervisor Nick Newkirk for the city presented the highlights for this year's festival, offering a range of events for all ages: senior fiesta, interactive art event with beer and wine tasting, certified runs, community parade, and the free family days at the Adobe will fill the four-day weekend. "In addition to the free pony rides and petting zoo, this year's event will have new children rancho-related activities such as horno cooking, cross-stitching, puppet shows, and magic," said Newkirk. He also announced the 2017 art gallery will turn everyone into an artist with an interactive rock art project related to the international #kindnessrockproject. Agoura Dental Group is returning from last year to serve as title sponsor for 2017. Dr. Aaron Choroomi, DDS, who grew up in Agoura Hills and continues to call it home now raising his own family here, began Agoura Dental Group 11 years ago.
The city is taking parade applications until Friday September 29. Sponsors and volunteers still have time to sign up to help provide the free cultural activities and entertainment enjoyed by over 15,000 attendees during the four-day festival. For full information, visit www.reyesadobedays.org
