Conejo Valley Days Banner Fundraising Opportunities for Nonprofits

This year’s Conejo Valley Days (CVD) is offering nonprofit groups two banner fundraising partnership opportunities.

The first is for local elementary, middle and high school PTAs, booster clubs and other nonprofits. Those organizations that hang a 3’ x 5’ 2016 CVD banner at its school or facility’s main entrance from April 15 through May 15 and return the banner to CVD after the festival is over will receive a $100 contribution from CVD.

“For elementary schools, this can be part of their CVD Read & Ride program,” says Mary-Catherine McBride, CVD executive director. “We have special Read & Ride banners ready for hanging.” The CVD Read & Ride program enables elementary school students to earn free carnival ride passes by reading books.

The second banner fundraiser gives nonprofits the opportunity to sell banner space at CVD to businesses. The nonprofits earn $50 for each banner space they sell. The company banner will be on display during CVD at the main gate.

Banner fundraiser registration forms are available at www.conejovalleydays.us/fundraising. For more information call 805-498-0624 or email info@conejovalleydays.us.

More than 25 nonprofit organizations participate in CVD each year. They sell food, man the ticket booths, keep CVD trash-free and do an assortment of behind-the-scenes activities. “The banner fundraisers are another way for nonprofits to be involved,” says McBride.

The 60th Annual Conejo Valley Days will be held May 11 through May 15 at Conejo Creek Park South (23 Freeway/Janss Rd. exit) in Thousand Oaks. Follow Conejo Valley Days on Facebook, www.facebook.com/ConejoValleyDays and Twitter, @CVDays60.
