Divorce education workshop "Second Saturday" a monthly workshop taught by local experienced divorce professionals including lawyers, accountants and mental health professionals.

At the Ventura College of Law, beginning January 11, 2014, we present the Second Saturday Divorce Workshop, the longest-running program of its kind.  Led by Westlake Village divorce lawyer and mediator, Lisa Zonder, the workshop offers education and invaluable information presented by trial attorney Shane Loomis, financial professionals including Jerry Cohen and Steven Garelick of Lorch &Co., mediators and counselors including therapist Theresa Heyes. The information includes how to best navigate and prepare for the challenges of divorce.
Many divorces are typically filed right after the holidays, beginning in January and around Valentine’s Day. If you are even thinking of filing a divorce action be sure to arm yourself with information and resources well ahead of time. This Ventura County workshop will be held at the Ventura College of Law, for a fee of just $45. The workshop is just under three hours long. The workshop’s goal is for attendees to learn everything they need to know about divorce, from legal and financial matters to the many social and emotional issues.  Fees for both workshops are payable at the door.
