Did somebody say…walkies?
Local author Ellen Eastwood will sign her new book The Trail Hound’s Handbook: Your Family Guide to Hiking With Dogs on Saturday, August 11 from 1-3 PM at Barnes & Noble Thousand Oaks.
Eastwood’s book is a must-read for caring dog owners who want to go roving with Rover. It will help you determine whether your pup is best suited for a rugged mountain hike or a quick walk around the park, give tips for planning dog-powered hikes, and tell you how to keep your best friend safe on the trail. And since your dog has a superb sense of smell and hearing and keen powers of observation, a hike with Fido can turn into an exciting wilderness adventure as he alerts you to the countless signs of life on the trail.
