About Michael: Michael Rüppel is one of the most experienced Israeli Martial Arts instructors in Germany. Michael formerly worked in security with A list clientele such as Jean-Claude van Damme.

Since 1998 he has been concentrating on Krav Maga, and in 1999 he became one of the first Krav Maga Instructors in Germany. Michael studied the traditional Krav Maga, but from his point of view it focused more on physical workout, rather than truly effective real street fighting situations. Therefore, he developed his own variety based on the official Krav Maga methods. Michael’s reputation for highly effective techniques concerning firearms, knives, ground fighting and also self-defense, spread even beyond the borderlines of Germany. Today, he offers workshops all around the world. He is especially proud of the fact that he even supervises Krav Maga Street Defense Classes in Israel.

On the 7th of December 2009 Michael Rüppel was given a special honor. Dr. Dennis Hanover, who is not only his mentor but also a very close friend, valued his earnings concerning the Israeli Martial Arts and the efforts he made to support the international understanding between Germany and Israel and declared in line with the “Museum of Israeli Martial Arts” to accommodate Michael Rüppel into their hall of fame.

In the summer of 2011 Michael was awarded by the U.S. Martial Arts Hall of Fame, in Orlando, FL.
As proof of his international reputation, Michael was recently (due to his technical skills concerning gun disarming) was invited by the LOTAR- Counter Terrorism Tactical Training School, in order to train the Special Forces there. The LOTAR- Counter Terrorism Tactical Training School is well known around the world, has a very good reputation and usually, only Israeli experts are invited to share their experience.

In addition to his workshops, seminars and classes he teaches in Europe, as well as in the U.S, Michael Rüppel will be attending many seminars given by other Israeli high performing instructors as well.
He is still improving himself and working on his desire to acknowledge the entire spectrum of the Israeli Martial Arts.
Furthermore he is an instructor for another Israeli fighting-system, Dennis Hisardut, in which he has a 4th degree black belt.

In December 2011 he won a gold medal at the Dennis Hisardut Championships in Israel. These championships are held in honor of the fallen soldiers of Israel.
