A customer stabbed a Walmart employee and fled in a vehicle that "plowed into a group of children," according to KTLA.
THOUSAND OAKS, CA — A rollover crash that left a 15-year-old boy dead and four others hurt outside Westlake High School involved a vehicle connected to a stabbing that injured a Walmart employee earlier in the day, according to authorities and KTLA.
The single-vehicle incident occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Lakeview Canyon Road, according to the Ventura County Fire Department, which added the driver was among those hurt and the victims may include Westlake students. KTLA reported that “the suspect plowed into a group of children.”
The crash followed a report about an hour earlier that a customer had stabbed an employee at the Walmart in the 200 block of West Cochran Street in Simi Valley, police said. The attacker fled in a Toyota Camry that later crashed in Thousand Oaks and the suspect was apprehended at the scene, according to police.
