They were featured in the 1980s film Xanadu and now these San Francisco-based rockers will be ringing in the new year at The Canyon. The ‘70s rock band will be playing songs satirizing everything from media to consumerism.

2. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at Fred Kavli Theatre for the Performing Arts
The Ventura natives will be swingin’ in the new year with their nine-piece swing revival band. They’ll be playing songs from their 2013 album Rattle Them Bones along with their hits that they’ve made over the last 20 years.

3. Padri Restaurant & Martini Bar
The home style Italian cucina offers dinner, champagne and a New Years Eve party with live music and a DJ through 2 a.m. for $50. Those interested in just drinks and entertainment in the lounge can say goodbye to 2013 in style for $30.

4. The Lab Brewing Company
The Lab Brewing Company prides itself on a “trifecta of entertainment” that includes beer, food and music. New Years Eve won’t be any different with music from the Mini Driver Band playing everything from the '80s to current hits.
A special menu, drink specials, party favors and complimentary champagne at midnight are just a few ways to ring in the new year.

5. Ladyface Alehouse and BrasserieWhether it's seafood or burgers you crave, dinner at Ladyface will not disappoint. Table reservations for two to four people are $50 and $100 for parties of six to eight, which includes champagne. Live music will be provided by jazz funk band the Roller Haymer Crane Trio.
