Ghosts of Paramount’s Past Haunted Hike Is Back
Visitors will explore the eerie side of the historic Paramount Ranch, a popular location for filming movies, & learn about it's haunted past

THOUSAND OAKS, CA – Due to large crowds at last month's “Ghosts of Paramount’s Past" tours, the National Park Service will bring the tours back to Paramount Ranch on September 16, 23, and 30 at 7:00 p.m. each night. The program allows visitors to hike and explore the eerie side of the historic movie ranch, according to a press release, while learning about the haunted history of Paramount Ranch.
“These tours are a special opportunity to explore Western Town after dark, which is normally closed after sunset,” says Scott Sharaga, a park ranger with Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. “The landscape becomes mysterious and the Western Town looks more like a ghost town."
The free program will be held at Paramount Ranch, 2903 Cornell Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301. It includes a short hike, so visitors should wear proper footwear and bring a flashlight. For questions, please contact the Santa Monica Mountains Interagency Visitor Center at 805-370-2301.
