Half-Day Seminar Nov. 10 on New 2016 Employment Laws

Jonathan Light, partner with the Camarillo employment law firm LightGabler LLP, will present a half-day seminar on anticipated new employment laws for 2016 as well as cases and administrative rulings decided in 2015. The seminar is Tuesday morning, November 10 and is sponsored by the East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council (EAC).
In his seminar, “Still Crazy After All These Years—The 2016 Employment Law Update!,” Light will discuss revised regulations under the California Family Rights Act, new sick leave rules, new employee handbook policy guidelines, OSHA heat regulations, the courts’ effort to unwind employment arbitration agreements and new legislation going into effect in 2016.
Light serves more than 600 national, regional and local employers in the private and public sector on day-to-day and litigation-related employment matters. He offers employment counsel and training programs to companies of all sizes to reduce liability and protect against lawsuits.

The EAC meeting is at Los Robles Greens Golf Course (299 W. Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks). Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the 4-hour program beginning at 8:00 a.m. The cost to attend is $95 (includes breakfast).
