Firefighters Put Out Brusher Near Las Virgenes

6:30 p.m. Update: The northbound lanes are now open, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station.

6 p.m. Update: The southbound lanes are now open, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station. There is no estimated time for when the northbound lanes will open.

Las Virgenes Road is closed in both directions between Los Hills Road and Mulholland Highway due to "a small brush fire," according to a report from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The brush fire was reported to be "under control."

An official at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station said there is no estimated time for when the road will reopen.
