On Saturday, March 15, in partnership
with LA County’s Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles, the District will host a
culminating festival, “LAUSD Arts Fest in the Park,” where more than 2,000
students are scheduled to perform. The “LAUSD
Arts Fest in the Park” will be held in front of City Hall beginning at 10:00
a.m. It will feature live stages with
student performances; an artist market; a “screening room” featuring student
short films; a creativity zone; a mass performance to Pete Seeger’s “Turn,
Turn, Turn”; an opportunity drawing for student art; vendor booths, celebrity
appearances, food trucks and giveaways.
