Night Sky Festival In Agoura Hills This Weekend
Telescopes will be directed and planets and objects in the Milky Way Galaxy, event is free for all ages.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — Become an astronomer for the night at the Night Sky Festival in Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills this Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The event, which is free and for all ages, will feature telescopes pointed at the Milky Way Galaxy for viewing, door prizes, and educational activities for the kids.
The schedule for the event is as follows:
- 7:30 – 9:00: Kid’s Activities
- 7:30 – 8:30: Native American night sky stories by Hupa native Kat High
- 8:00 – 9:00: Preserving the Night Sky — a Presentation by Dr. Travis Longcore, a "leading expert in the environmental and ecological effects of night lighting," according to the event page.
- 8:30 – 10:30: Telescope Viewing
No flash photography will be allowed near the telescope viewing area to preserve visitors' night vision.
