NOTE: This meeting is being conducted utilizing video conferencing and electronic means consistent with the Governor’s State of California Executive Order N-29-20, dated March 17, 2020, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Agoura Hills City Council has scheduled a Public Hearing to consider a first extension of Interim Ordinance. No. 20-448U, adopted on April 22, 2020, which imposed interim amended develop standards for new accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units based on new State law (California Government Code Section 65852.2 and 65852.22). The Interim Ordinance was determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15282(h) and 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA guidelines. Staff is returning to the City Council on May 27, 2020, within the 45-day term of the Interim Ordinance, to request an extension of the Interim Ordinance in order to provide staff sufficient time to further analyze the new State law and prepare the City’s development standards regarding accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units. The City Council will consider extending the Interim Ordinance for up to 22 months and 15 days, or until new permanent zoning regulations for accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units are adopted and take effect.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: All interested parties are cordially invited to participate in this public hearing either by submitting written public comments by email or participating live by telephone. To submit written public comments, please include the agenda item number in the subject line and email comments@ci.agoura-hills.ca.us by 4:00 p.m. on the meeting date and your comments will be distributed to the City Council prior to the meeting. To participate live by telephone, please email your name and telephone number (including the area code) to comments@ci.agoura-hills.ca.us prior to the time the Mayor closes the public comment period on the public hearing. City staff will call you at the appropriate time to receive your public testimony.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT if you challenge the above-noticed action in court, your challenge may be limited to only those issues you or someone else actually raise during the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at or prior to the public hearing.
