Power Outages Continue In Agoura Hills Through Friday

Agoura Hills residents continued to see power outages due to risky fire weather, and were on guard through Friday evening.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — Power outages continued Friday in parts of Agoura Hills to avoid an electrical equipment-ignited wildfire given risky weather in the area.

A large portion of Agoura Hills north of the State Route 101 (Ventura Freeway), west of Kanan Road, east of Lindero Canyon Road and south of the city limit was experiencing a power outage as of 10:15 a.m. Friday. See the map of outages on Southern California Edison's website.

Power restoration usually happens within three to 8 hours, according to SCE. Stay updated by checking the city's website for alerts.

Agoura Hills has seen power outages since Thursday. The outages, dubbed Public Safety Power Shutoffs, are implemented by Southern California Edison when there is a chance SCE equipment could ignite a fire given weather conditions.
