The Southeast Ventura County YMCA, with branches in Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village and Simi Valley, names a new board member.

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA, with branches in Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village and Simi Valley, has named Jeff Shumway as a new board member.

Shumway is president and CEO of Olde Thompson, LLC. He will serve a three-year term. “I grew up in Indian Guides and various other YMCA programs in Los Angeles at the Westside YMCA,” says Shumway. “My family was involved in building the Westside Y back in the late ‘60s and ‘70s. All my kids were part of the Indian Guide program at the Triunfo YMCA. The Y has always been important to me and is such a wonderful positive force in our community.”

“We look forward to having Jeff on the board and helping us continue the YMCA’s mission of being a positive force in the communities we serve,” says Ronnie Stone, president and CEO of the Southeast Ventura County YMCA.
