Southeast Ventura County YMCA Reach For The Stars Gala

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA is hosting its 2nd Annual Reach for the Stars Gala on Saturday, September 22 at 6:00 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village.

The YMCA will honor longtime YMCA supporters John and Karen Bradley as the 2018 Joel and Frances McCrea Award recipients. "John and Karen give so selflessly and are true servant leaders," says Ronnie Stone, Southeast Ventura County YMCA CEO. "Their humility and dedication is an inspiration to all who know them.”

In addition, the YMCA will present three Community Leadership Awards. "As a volunteer-led organization, the Y recognizes exemplary citizens each year for their volunteer work and service for the greater good throughout the community," says Stone. "They willingly give of themselves to make the community a better place for all."

The evening includes cocktails, a unique auction collection, four-course dinner and culminates with an after party.

Proceeds will support the Y's "Find My Genius," an achievement gap program serving local elementary school children and "Safety Around Water," a water safety training program. Both programs are offered at no cost to participants. "These and other YMCA programs and resources are designed to help everyone realize their full potential,” says Stone.

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building positive relationships, impacting lives and strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living programs and social responsibility. It serves the Conejo Valley, Simi Valley, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Agoura Hills and Moorpark through its three branches.
