The Triunfo YMCA is signing up participants for its spring basketball league. Kids in kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible. The eight-game season runs from March 23 through May 24 with playoff/championship games beginning May 25. Games are held at Agoura High School (28545 W. Driver Ave., Agoura Hills). Skills assessment days are January 26, February 2 and February 9 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at Deerhill Park (6700 Doubletree Rd, Oak Park).
The league is semi-competitive and is focused on skill development, sportsmanship and having fun. Every child plays and learns the essentials of teamwork through basketball. The league is co-ed league so boys and girls are welcome. No prior playing experience is necessary.
Team practices are local and games are played on Sundays. Extra weekly practices will be scheduled and available to all participants who want to further develop their basketball skills.
