Signups are being held for teams that want to participate in a one-day flag football tournament hosted by the Triunfo YMCA. The tournament is Sunday, August 11 at Willow Elementary School (29026 Laro Dr., Agoura Hills) with tournament play beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The tournament is for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade with the competition divided by age groups: kindergarten through second grades, third through fifth grades and sixth through eighth grades. The tournament is semi-competitive with an emphasis on team play, good sportsmanship and fun. Each team will play three games. No experience is necessary.
“We encourage parents to put together their own team of kids,” says Kyle Andrus, Triunfo Y sports coordinator. “Teams need a minimum of six players and a maximum of eight players.”

Each player receives a YMCA team shirt. The cost to participate is $15 plus a $40 per person program membership fee if not a member. The cost per team is $75 (plus $40 membership fee for each player if not Y members).
